The Department of Economics at Bir Raghab Moran Government Model College, Doomdooma, is a vibrant academic unit committed to imparting quality education in economic theory, quantitative methods, and applied economic analysis. Mission: To provide quality education in economics with strong theoretical and empirical foundations To promote research and critical thinking on regional and global economic issues To equip students with skills for employment, entrepreneurship, and policy engagement To contribute to inclusive and sustainable development through academic excellence Programmes Offered: The Department offers the following programmes - Undergraduate (UG) Honours in Economics A comprehensive programme designed to provide in-depth knowledge of microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, public economics, and the Indian economy. Minor & Generic Elective in Economics - The department also offers Economics as a Minor subject and Generic Elective, enabling students from other disciplines to gain foundational knowledge in economic principles, data analysis, and policy frameworks.
